1994: Ribbon cut for Highway 20 lighting project
75 Years Ago - July 21, 1949 RANDOLPH – M.M. Bowles, owner and manager of the Bowles Drug store here for the past 28 yeas, has sold the business to Vincent D. Hartz, young pharmacist, who comes here from Coda. Mr. Hartz took possession of his new business this week, and inventory was counted Tuesday, and the doors were opened for business on Wednesday. The new owner is a graduate of the college of pharmacy of the University of Nebraska. He served 45 months in the army in World War II with overseas duty in the European theater. He was pharmacist for a Revenant (Nebr.) firm for one year, and the past two years has been associated with Ford’s Pharmacy at Coda. Mr. Hartz is married and has two children, Kay and Joe.
