Local school helps gather items for military care packages

RANDOLPH — Randolph Public Schools helped collect items for activeduty military members through a Military Care Package Drive.

Items were dropped off at the Randolph High School office through March 31. The effort is part of a project by WSC Navigators, with care packages to be distributed through the Nebraska Army National Guard.

Donations included gum, candy, beef sticks or jerky, pre-packaged snacks, deodorant, wet wipes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, protein bars, drink mixes, laundry pods, coffee pods, reading materials, games and handwritten notes of thanks.
