Class of 1974
The Laurel-Concord Class of 1974 gathered recently at the home of classmate Marilyn (Eckert) Abts to celebrate their 50th year reunion. A total of 29 classmates spent the afternoon reminiscing and getting caught up on each other’s lives. A poster board was made remembering the nine classmates who are no longer with us. They are Anita Hanson, Mike Madsen, Randy Leapley, Sheryl Anderson, Marina Lenzen, Shirlene (Kardell) Boeckenhauer, Kirk McCoy, John Suber and Russell Anderson. Those on the committee who help with the 50th reunion were Kim (Chace) Dunklau, Marilyn (Eckert) Abts, Janis (Wallin) Pfingsten, Jeanne (Pippitt) Kardell, Connie (Nielsen) Kathol. 1974: Lack of livestock suspends Randolph fair
75 Years Ago - June 30, 1949 RANDOLPH – One of the biggest house moving projects ever undertaken in Randolph began this week as the Bredehoft Moving and Construction Co. of Battle Creek began moving the large two-story house sold by Gordon Chapman to St. Frances parish for a new parish rectory.
