Sun sets on the Skylon
A big crowd came out to the historic Skylon Ballroom Saturday night for a dance that was deemed as the 'Grand Finale Final Dance' for the famed facility. Hartington voters rejected a bond proposal in May that would have moved the Skylon to a new location and put a new addition on to it. The building's owner needs the lot to expand his business, so the facility will most likely be torn down. There is a chance the building can still be saved, however, as several local residents are still trying to find a way to move it through a combination of fundraising and local support.
