Lady Trojan offense goes cold against Boone Central

ALBION - A frigid night from the field and a solid Boone Central defense spelled doom for the Lady Trojans as they stumbled to a 53-21 opening season loss to the Boone Central Lady Cardinals Dec. 5.

Cedar Catholic shot a dismal combined 10.4% from the field in the loss to leave plenty of room for improvement the remainder of the season.

Cedar senior Addison Walter led what little offense there was in the game with eight points including a 5-of-6 performance from the charity line.

Savannah Pick added six points while Anisten Wortmann chipped in with five.

Walter added 14 rebounds to her evening while Pick contributed 11 boards.

Pick also swiped four steals. The Lady Trojans are set to take on O’Neill in another Mid State Conference game on Dec. 12 at home before back-to-back conference matchups with Norfolk Catholic on the road Dec. 15 and back at the Monsignor Werner Activities Center Dec. 16.

CEDAR CATHOLIC: Savannah Pick 1-12 4-6 6; Anisten Wortmann 2-13 1-4 5; Brynn Bernecker 1-1 0-0 2; Autumn Kathol 0-1 0-0 0; Madison Eickhoff 0-2 0-0 0; Addison Walter 1-14 5-6 8.
