RANDOLPH — The annual district ASC Christmas party was held Saturday at the Randolph City Auditorium with 154 in attendance. The dinner was served by the Methodist W.S.C.S.
Square dancing completed the afternoon’s entertainment. Lee Sellon is former fieldman of the district.

RANDOLPH — Mrs. Dean Mc-Grew was elected worthy matron at a meeting of the Order of the Eastern Star on Tuesday evening. Others elected were Mrs. Paul Paulsen, associated matron; Mrs. Bessie Boughn, secretary; Mrs. A.B. Helms, treasurer; Mrs. Marvin Weber, conductress and Mrs. Robert Sellon, associate conductress.

RANDOLPH — All 13 living children of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Cunningham and the children’s husbands and wives joined the couple Saturday evening at the Husker Room for a supper party in observance of their 45th wedding anniversary.

RANDOLPH — Army Sergeant Daniel D. Painter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Painter of Carroll recently received the Bronze Star Medal while serving with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. Sgt. Painter received the award while assigned as a gunner in Battery A, list Battalion of the Division’s 321st Artillery. He entered the army in April 1969.

RANDOLPH — The RHS Cardettes, coached by Marvin Beardshear defeated Homer in two sets in their opening game, 15-0 and 15-4.
The starting six Cardettes are Karen Tunink, Jan Thies, Vickie Caster, Barb Schmit, Janice Kruger and Lori Bermel.

RANDOLPH — Following the Randolph Chapter FHA meeting Tuesday night the members had a hay-ride-caroling party in conjunction with the FFA Chapter. Approximately 75 students took part in the caroling.
