Blue Devils notch two more big wins
WYNOT – The Wynot Blue Devils used a stifling defense and big first and third quarter scoring runs to dispatch the Homer Knights on their home court Tuesday night. The Blue Devils held the Knights to single digit scoring in all four quarter as they cruised to the 65-26 win. This one was not in doubt from the start as Wynot went on 21-6 first quarter and added a 21-2 run in the third quarter.

Fordyce hosts successful blood drive
FORDYCE – LifeServe Blood Center held a blood drive in Fordyce Dec. 12 and had a great turnout, with eight donors were able to donate and 10 units of life saving blood were collected. The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 30 lives.

The Hartington Volunteer Fire Department was called out Saturday morning to this car fire at West Hoese Street. The fire completely destroyed a Corvette in the driveway of the home and damaged the garage.

Members of the Feilmeier family got together last week to celebrate the Dec. 13 birthdays of twins, Charlene Meyer and Chuck Feilmeier, and triplets, Ann Walz, Aggie Hochstein and Alice Klug. The triplets and twins were born exactly one year apart, 84 and 83 years ago, respectively.
