NE Nebraska gets food, shelter funding

WAYNE — The Northeast Nebraska Region has been chosen to receive $23,617 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in Antelope, Burt, Cedar, Cuming, Dixon, Knox, Pierce, Stanton, Thurston, and Wayne counties.
The selection was made by a National Board that is chaired by the U. S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Public or private voluntary agencies interested in applying for Emergency Food and Shelter Program funds must contact Krista Heineman at 402-385-6300 ext 276 for an application.
The deadline for applications to be received is no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019.
