New name to accompany new sports co-op

Posted in:

RANDOLPH — Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and Randolph high schools have entered into a cooperative agreement to compete as a joint wrestling team for the upcoming 2019-2020, as well as the 2020-2021 seasons.

The new co-op will also feature a new name and a new mascot.

The team will be known as Quad County Northeast with their mascot being the Blaze.

This cooperative agreement between LCC and Randolph schools came about based on the needs of both districts, said LCC Supt. Jeremy Christensen.

“Together, the wrestling co-op provides opportunity to fill a complete wrestling team,” he said.
