There were 16 Hartington-Newcastle students selected for Pierce Honor Band. Those students include, (front) Logan Kneifl, Caleb Heimes-3rd Chair Trombone, Cameron Bruning, Harper Folkers, Celia Gall, Brooklynn Peters-1st Chair Tenor Sax, Ashlynn Dailey- 2nd Chair French Horn, Emma Hoeppner; (back) Owen Hart, Alyk Zach, Kyptin Collier- 1st Chair Tuba, Cris Kneifl- 4 year Member and scholarship, Merrick Folkers-1st year Tuba, Paisley Collier, Ali Ford-4 year member and scholarship, and Ella Hoeppner. Students selected for the Pierce Honor Band earn a scholarship and certificate for being selected for Pierce Honor Band for four years.

Lenhoff reads 1000 books before Kindergarten
HARTINGTON – Lyla Lenhoff, daughter of Nick and Lindsey Lenhoff, has read successfully completed the “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” program at the Hartington city library. She received a medal, a certificate of completion, her final prize and a free book from the library for this accomplishment.
