The Hartington-Newcastle High School speech team claimed yet another State speech title last week in Kearney. HNS senior Alexus Hans (above) took home second-place honors at State in the Persuasive Speaking category. Junior Ryell Haug competes in a warm-up to State. Hartington-Newcastle sent 11 of its school-record 18 entries to finals and had three event State champions to score 176 points to win the team title. 03/27/2024 12:00 AM
