Woman is accused of stealing from local store

HARTINGTON — A Hartington woman accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a local retailer faces a felony shoplifting charge.
Jessica Reeder, 29, appeared in Cedar County Court last week, accused of taking merchandise totaling $2,500 from Dollar General in Hartington. Her next court appearance is set for Nov. 16.
Ray Marcus, 42, of Yankton, S.D., also appeared in court last week.
He had a felony driving under the influence charge reduced to a misdemeanor. Originally charged with a fourth offense DUI, his charge was amended to only a second offense.
