Seniors to host Area Tourney

HARTINGTON — The Hartington American Legion Senior baseball team is set to host the Area 1 Tournament at Felber Park this month.
The July 21-26 tournament will determine who will advance to the State American Legion Senior Baseball Tournament July 29-Aug. 2 in Gordon.
Hartington will play host to Crofton, Ponca, Stanton, Wisner-Pilger and a combined team made up of players from Bloomfield, Creighton and Plainview.
Look for a tournament preview in upcoming issues of the Cedar County News. The Hartington Juniors will compete in the Area 1 Tournament in Crofton July 7-12. The Junior State Tournament is July 15-19 in Imperial.
