Russell Parks Bradford

LAUREL — Russell Parks Bradford, 77, Laurel, died April 16, 2020, at the Hillcrest Care Center, Laurel. Due to the current health guidelines, a private service will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Laurel, with Pastor Jeff Warner officiating. The time and date of the funeral are pending, but tentatively scheduled for the end of the week. The exact time and day will be published on www.wintzfuneralhome. com once known. The service will be live-streamed on the church Facebook page which is Immanuel Lutheran – Laurel, Nebraska.

A recorded version of the service will be posted to www.immanuellutheranlaurelne. com the following day. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Laurel. Russell was born Nov. 24, 1942, to Bennett “BW” and Nancy (Cooper) Bradford in Omaha. He grew up and attended school in Omaha, graduating from Central High School. After high school, Russell attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and then continued his college education in Oakland, Calif. Russell moved back to Omaha and worked as a medical sales rep for the majority of his life.

Russell married Kathleen Vint Feb. 25, 1994, in Lincoln. The two of them moved back to Laurel in 2016, after they retired. Russell was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Laurel, and the Sesostris Shrine in Lincoln. He and Kathy enjoyed golfing and traveling together. He also enjoyed reading and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Russell is survived by his wife, Kathy Bradford, Laurel; children, Teri Anderson, New York, N.Y.; Susan Benson, Omaha; Eric and Jill Sohler, Laurel; Emily Sohler-Downs and her husband, Greg, Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett and Nancy; and a brother, Charles “Chuck” Bradford.
