Velma J. Backer

NORFOLK — Velma Jean Backer, 90, Norfolk, died April 19, 2020, at the Meadows, Norfolk. There will be a restricted visitation, 4-7 p.m., Thursday, at Johnson Funeral Home, Randolph. The family has asked, because of the limited number of people allowed in the facility for visitation, for guests to wait at entry for admittance for visitation and to purposefully limit your time when you arrive. Private family funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., April 24, at Saint Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Randolph, with Rev. Father Timothy Forget and Deacon Doug Tunink officiating.
Interment will be in Saint Jane Frances Catholic Cemetery, Randolph. Pallbearers will be Seth Staroscik, Mark Griffis, Tom Adams, Anthony Backer, Dean Wattier and Francis Kurtzhal. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Velma’s grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
