Ronald J. Dendinger

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Ronald J. Dendinger, 79, Springfield Mo., died Jan. 15, 2022, at Cox South Hospital after a long Covidrelated illness. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and business partner. Ron loved his family more than life. He had such a pure heart and made this world a better place to be. He will be missed more than words can say.

Ron was a member of Hedgehoppers Flying Club. He was also a member of Kings Church, Springfield. Ron was the owner of Metro Motors for 29 years and loved his crew and customers.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Monica (Heimes) Dendinger; his father, Maurice; and his daughter, Karen Fay.

He is survived by his bride of 45 years, Deena Dendinger, Springfield, Mo.; son, John Dendinger, Nixa, Mo.; daughter, Rhonda Schafferle, Bellevue; daughter, Jane Schmitt, Rogersville, Mo.; daughter, Paula Malone (Jeff Boyer), Springfield, Mo.; son, Thomas Perkins, Springfield, Mo.; son, Brian Lail, Elkhart, Ind.; 6 ½ grandchildren; sister, Betty Keiser, Hartington; brothers, Bill, Jerry and Terry Dendinger.

Funeral services were Jan. 21 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jack Essary officiating.

Burial followed in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was Jan. 20 in the funeral home.
