Noecker wins at Crofton Invitational
CROFTON — The Crofton Invitational was the scene for the are cross country teams last week as Hartington-Newcastle, Bloomfiel Wausa and Randolph all made the trip to the five-mile event.
Hartington-Newcastle finished third and Randolph 10th on the boys’ side.
Bloomfield/Wausa’s girls took fourth place, one spot ahead of Hartington-Newcastle.
Carson Noecker won the boys individual race with a dominant time of 15:33.38 while Parker Albers ran a 16th place time of 19:28.30.
Lady Wildcat Jessica Opfer ran a third-place race with a 21:47.10 time, the second-best time of the senior’s career.
Head coach Mandy Hochstein said the run was impressive due to the hilly conditions of the course.
Freshman Ava Noecker finished 17th for a time of 24:07.92, jus out of the medals.
