Fire Safety

Local students toured the Hartington Fire Hall Friday as part of National Fire Safety Week. Students got to view a movie about fire safety then took a tour of the Fire Hall where they learned about the safety gear firefighters put on to protect themselves. Jimmy Christensen and Tucker Lammers (above) tell Holy Trinity students not to be scared if they see firefighters dressed in their full gear during a fire. Hartington-Newcastle kindergarten student Braxton Christensen (right) was one of several students that got to try on a fire helmet and fire jacket during the demonstrations.
