Elaine Rugh (Speeer) Robson

BUHLER, Kan. — Elaine Ruth (Speer) Robson, 85, died Dec. 11, 2018, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler.

Funeral services provided by Buhler Mortuary were Dec. 17 at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson, Kan. Born in Hope, Kansas, May 18, 1933, to Meryl and Lillie Speer, she was the fourth of five daughters. A 1950 graduate of Chapman High School, she taught at Hearts Content, rural Center, and Kellogg schools. On May 4, 1956, She married Thomas Robson, Abilene. He survives her.

Elaine was a homemaker, music teacher, and was active in UPW, Mariners, Sunday school, and church choir.

Rev. Tom and Elaine Robson served Presbyterian churches in Belden and Laurel, 1978-87.

Other survivors include three daughters, Jill (Rick) Snell, Heidi (John) Bylsma, Wendy (Mark) Calderwood; two sons Terry (Kristin) Robson, Kelly (Susan) Robson; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Muriel.
