Cedar golfers are third at home invitational

HARTINGTON — The Cedar Catholic girls golf team took home third--place honors in Monday’s Hartington Invitational.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge won the event with a team score of 408. Pierce finished as the runner-up with a 427.

LCC’s Sarah Karnes earned medalist honors with an 84.

Cedar Catholic golfers Maci Schommer and Jenna Wiebelhaus led the team with a sixth and seventh place finish, respectively.

The Cedar Catholic girls golf team took second-place honors at the Pierce Triangular on Sept. 16.

Kristine Becker led the local golfers in Pierce, firing a 59 on the day. The Lady Jays’ Keli Schommer earned medalist honors with a 51.
