HARTINGTON — Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Cobler, Hartington, recently celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary.

HARTINGTON — Ray Wingert has now taken over the East Side Auto Repair business.

It was previously run by his brother, Nick.

RANDOLPH — Rev. Joseph Falke, Omaha, has been appointed pastor of St. Frances Catholic Church here.

He will succeed Fr. Teves who will be headed to St. Helena to take over at that parish.

HARTINGTON — Rev. Van Veen will leave for Wynot where he will become pastor of Sacred Heart Parish. He succeeds Rev. John Mines, who is going to St. Henry’s Parish near Stanton.

HARTINGTON — Ruth Petersen, society editor and bookkeeper for The News for several years, resigned recently. She has accepted a position and will soon be relocating to Texas.
