HARTINGTON — Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Blood, Bloomfield, were injured when their car collided with another vehicle near Bloomfield. The driver in the other car walked away with minor injuries.

HARTINGTON — F. J. Peitz was victorious and won the election to become the county sheriff. He beat out three rivals, H. B. Uhing and Oliver Rinehart, Hartington, and Chris Dahl, Laurel.

HARTINGTON — Mrs. Vera June Paulesen, Laurel, recently received word that her fiancee, Michael Madden, who lives in California, has passed away.

She was preparing to leave soon to be with him and so the two could marry.
