Donna Fyfe

OMAHA — Donna Lee (Eskens) Fyfe, 66, Omaha, formerly of Wynot, died Sept. 3, 2026, at Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge, after a long battle with cancer. At Donna’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Donna was born July 21, 1960, in Yankton, S.D., to Arnold and Marlene (Schmidt) Eskens. She grew up surrounded by family, graduating from Wynot Public Schools in 1978. In 1979, Donna married David Kuehler. Together they welcomed three sons, Josh, Jamie and Tim. In 2006, Donna married Charles Fyfe in Sioux Falls, S.D., and later resided in Omaha. Donna had a personality that was uniquely her own. She could make people laugh with a perfectly timed comment or a dry observation, often without ever cracking a smile herself. She enjoyed thrifting and the simple excitement of finding something special or unexpected. Donna found some of her greatest joy in being Nana to her three grandchildren, Miles, Mara and Meyer. She treasured her time with them and loved being a part of their lives. Her grandchildren will remember her for the love she gave them and the snuggles they shared.

Donna is survived by her husband, Charles; her sons, Joshua Kuehler and Tim (Megan) Kuehler and their children, Miles, Mara and Meyer; step sons, John and Matt Fyfe; her mother, Marlene; her siblings, Deb (Steve) Orwig, Jeff (Barb) Eskens, Ron (Tammie) Eskens, Mark (Wendy) Eskens, Doris Burns, Jim (Cathy) Eskens, Karen (Bill) Blind, Mike (Kari) Eskens, Kristie (Tony Lukens) Eskens, and Pamela (Bruce) Freeman; her sisters-in-law, Linda (Eddie) Short, Margaret (Bill) Bartels and Elizabeth Keeney; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Jamie Kuehler, 1984; her father, Arnold Eskens; her parents-in-law, Charles and Margaret Fyfe; infant sister, Darlene; brothers-in-law, David Burns, Hugh Fyfe, John Fyfe and Liam Keeney; niece, Olivia Eskens; and nephew, Blake Bartels.
