Linda Olsen
Linda Olsen

Linda married Sylvan Olsen Aug. 7, 1960, in Coleridge, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. They enjoyed being married for 60 years. She enjoyed helping raise and spend time with her boys and later with her grandchildren. Linda enjoyed quilting and sewing. At 17 years of age as a senior in high school, she won a purple ribbon at the state fair. She also won the opportunity to go to Chicago to show off her talents for a week and showed off the dress she sewed there. Linda enjoyed hauling her grandchildren around in her little blue car. She was always making something in her kitchen – her rolls and chocolate chip cookies were favorites. She enjoyed traveling to visit her family farther away and evening drives with friends. She liked to play cards with friends and family. Linda attended church regularly. She was a former council member and went to circle regularly as well. Linda enjoyed retirement and liked Friday socials with her old teacher friends.
