There was a Christian Mothers Rosary Tuesday, at 4:30 p.m., at the church, followed by public visitation from 5-7 p.m., and a 7 p.m. Vigil Service.

Norma died Aug. 13, 2026, at Colonial Manor, Randolph. She was surrounded by family and passed away peacefully.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Andrew Widhalm, Kara Strong, Jodi Parnell, Luke Stueckrath, Crystal Dockhorn, Keshia Thies, Tyler Lackas, Kati Hogan and Levi Lackas.

Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren, Mia and Dru Widhalm; Avery Widhalm, Hunter and Peyton Strong; Kody, Jackson and Colt Dockhorn; Lainey, Merit and Jameson Thies; Brooks, Marshall and Bristol Lackas; Tukker and Bexley Hogan.

Norma Marie (Meyer) Stueckrath was born and raised on a farm west of Randolph to John and Viola Meyer. She attended St. Frances School, was baptized, made her first communion, and was confirmed at St. Frances Church. Norma married Willis “Butch” Stueckrath Feb. 23, 1949, at the same church and continued their lives on a farm six miles west of Randolph. Throughout her years, Norma taught CCD classes for 19 years, was president of Guild, secretary/treasurer of Christian Mothers, a member of PCCW, served as EME and assisted with many other functions at St. Frances de Chantel Church.

At the age of 70, Norma learned how to play the piano. She was very excited to play during Mass for many years and enjoyed playing piano at her home in her spare time. She also loved playing cards with her friends and family, working daily crossword puzzles and word finds and watching Wheel of Fortune.

Norma took a class in oil painting and painted many landscapes. She shared her artwork with her family. Along with her painting, she loved sewing and quilting. She was so talented she made wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, baptism gowns, prom dresses and many other special occasion pieces. Almost every week, she would join the quilting ladies at church to make beautiful quilts to donate to those in need. She also made t-shirt quilts for her family members.

She loved to work outside in the yard and in her garden. If there was something that needed painted or fixed, Norma would take care of it. She enjoyed doing all kinds of odd jobs on the farm.

Most of all, she loved her family — teaching them and helping them in any way possible.

Survivors include son, Steve and Judy Stueckrath, Randolph; daughters, Carol and Dan Widhalm, Roca; Sue and Roger Nelsen, Kansas City, Mo.; Diane and Dave Boatmanm, Lincoln; Peggy and John Lackas, McLean; and Angie and Don Nordhues, Randolph; nine grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; brother, Ed and Mary Lou Meyer, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and sister, Dolores Sattler,Boise, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Butch; her parents; two sons; one daughter; brothers, Earl, Vince and Elmer Meyer; and sister, Shirley Schmit.
