HARTINGTON — Joan A. Jueden, 92, Hartington, died May 8, 2026, at Providence Medical Center, Wayne.

A private family service will be held and arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Yankton, S.D.

Joan Allene was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Hartington, to Allan and Blanche (Lee) Hirschman. She grew up in Hartington and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1951. Joan married Ernest Eugene Jueden Oct. 10, 1951, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington. After their marriage, she and Ernie farmed east of Hartington until moving into town in 2014. Joan was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and loved to go dancing with Ernie.

Joan is survived by her son, Butch (Rhelda) Jueden, Maskell; daughter, Kathy (Dave) Bohlken, Hartington; her grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernie, March 20, 2022; son, Ron Jueden; and grandson, Heath Jueden.
