BLOOMFIELD — Daryle Peters died May 3, 2026, at his residence. Memorial services for Daryle Peters, 83, Bloomfield, were May 8 at First Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomfield. Rev. Brian Lemcke officiated, with burial at a later date. Visitation was Thursday at the church. Brockhaus Funeral Home, Bloomfield, was in charge of arrangements. Daryle Dean Peters, son of Louie and Ella (Koertje) Peters, was born Oct. 9, 1942, at the family farm east of Bloomfield. Daryle received his education at First Trinity Lutheran School and Bloomfield High School, graduating in 1961. He attended Norfolk Junior College, earning a football letter his freshman year. Daryle returned to Bloomfield to farm with his father. In 1967, he attended Reisch World W ide School of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. Upon completion of his training, he came back to Bloomfield to work with area auctioneers. Besides auctioneering, Daryle also ran Peters Lawn Service and held various jobs in the ag sector. In August of 1968, Daryle married Karen Henning at Lakefield, Minn. They had three children, Christina, Alison, and Jon.

Daryle was a lifelong member of First Trinity L utheran Church. He was active in Rodeo Club, Bloomfield Ruritan and Nebraska Auctioneers Association. He enjoyed watching his kids’ activities, including 4-H, school, and church events. Daryle was a very proud grandpa and loved keeping up with the grandchildren’s activitie s as well. He was known around the area as “the Candyman,” as he enjoyed making and sharing sweet goodies at Christmas time.

Daryle is survived by his wife of 57 years, Karen Peters, Bloomfield; daughters, Christina (Ed Eppens) Peters, Lincoln, and Alison (Roger) Lange, Wynot; six grandchildren, Ethan (Jocelyn) Lange, Spencer, Iowa; Garrett (Grace) Lange, Dakota Dunes, S.D.; Eliza and Jace Lange, Wynot; Greyson Peters, Omaha; and Hadley Peters, Valley; great-grandson, Isaiah Lange; sisters, Alice Strom, Bloomfield; Janet Hamilton, Hartington; and Judy Boyer, Wausa.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jon Peters; parents, Louie and Ella Peters; sisters, Fern Huttman, Vernel Nelson, Eunice Murray and Margaret Seagren; and brothers, Duane and David Peters.
