Sharon died March 5, 2026, at Faith Regional Health Services, Norfolk.
Sharon Stevens was born Aug. 1, 1944, in Plainview. She was adopted by George and Faye (Hub bard) Fredrickson of Winnetoon. She attended grade school at Winnetoon and then attended Creighton High School. Sharon married Galen Stevens Sept. 2, 1962, at Creighton Methodist Church. They raised their four children, Faye, Gaylene, Rachelle and Gene, on the family farm east of Creighton. Sharon attended college at W ayne State, where she earned her bachelor’s in criminal justice. She later attended Saint Pa ul School of Theology in Kansas City earning her degree in Theology and w as ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church.
Sharon enjoyed playing the piano, singing, quilting and spending time with her family and friends. She was the Pastor at the Met hodist Churches in Chambers, Overton, Elm Creek, Madison, Magnet, Mc-Lean, Wausa and Randolph before retiring.
Sharon is survived by her spouse of 63 years, Galen; children, Faye Stevens (Steve Hankins), Lincoln; Gaylene (Mark) Mulherin, Malcolm; Rachelle (Mark) Henery, Norfolk; and Gene Stevens, Creighton; 13 grandchildren, Brooke (Justin) Simmons, Zach (Charla) Henery, David (Courtney) Stowe, Dalton (Karissa) Henery, Rebecca Stevens, Khristina (Ethan) Kopejtka, Christian (Maria) Stowe, Ashley Mulher in, Garrett (Kami French) Henery, Stephanie (Josh) Everhardt, Hannah Mulherin, and Jessica (Brady) Illies; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, George and Faye; brothers and spouses, Vernon “Vern” (Wilma Smith) Fredrickson, Robert “Bob” (Roseline Mathine) Fredrickson, and Bernard Fredrickson; sister and spouse, Arlene (William) Neuhaus; parents-in-law, Walter and Mabel Stevens; and sister-in-law and spouse, Beverly (George) Ferris.
