LAUREL — Judith Harrington, 91, Laurel, died Feb. 3, 2026, at Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge.

Judy’s wish was to donate her body to science for study.

A memorial service will be planned for a future date in Laurel.

Judith was born March 13, 1934, in New York City, N.Y., to Clarence G. and Clotilde R. (Pelkus) Lowe. She lived in Athens, Greece, for a while and then moved back to Lincoln, where she graduated from high school. She attended one year at Doane University, Crete, and then married William P. Harrington in September 1953. She and William continued to live in Lincoln until 1968. They then moved to Oakland, until moving to Laurel in 1976. Judy worked as a cook for the nursing home in Oakland and then at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Laurel. She also worked as a secretary for AMPI in Laurel.

Judy was a member of the United Lutheran Church and its woman’s circle. She helped with the Laurel Public Library and served on its board.

Judy is survived by her two children, Brian Harrington, Lincoln, and Diane Wenger, Topeka, Kan.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Lowe, Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Priscilla Golden, Cheyenne, Wyo.; three nephews and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William, Jan. 15, 2015; sister-in-law, Robbi Lowe; and brother-in-law, Joseph Golden.
