HOSKINS – Funeral service for John R. Paulsen, 70, Hoskins, were Nov. 11 at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk. Rev. Terry Buol officiated the service. The family asked that casual or Nebraska Cornhusker attire be worn for the service. A private family burial will be at a later date. Visitation was Monday at Stonacek Funeral Chapel. John died Nov. 6, 2025, at his residence in rural Hoskins. Stonacek Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements. John was born July 6, 1955, in Norfolk, to John and Dorothy (Hansen) Paulsen. He grew up in Stanton and attended grade school in Stanton. John graduated from Stanton High School in 1974. He married Cheryl Schaefer April 5, 1975, at St. Frances Catholic Church, Randolph. After marriage, the family lived in Norfolk, and then moved to rural Hoskins in 1984. John worked at Nucor for 43 years, until he retired.
