HARTINGTON — Joel E. Tyndall, 58, Hartington, died Oct. 30, 2025, at Faith Regional Hospital, Norfolk. A Memorial Service will be held Nov. 8, at 2 p.m., at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington, with Dwight Brummels officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be his brother, Richard Tyndall, and Dan Steffen. There will be a visitation from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. Joel Edward was born Jan. 21, 1967, in Alameda, Calif., to Marion Arthur and Mamie Sue (Tucker) Tyndall. Joel graduated from Macy High School and then attended WIT Nebraska Indian Community College. Joel went to the Police Academy in Nebraska and trained in accident investigation. He worked in law enforcement for over 20 years. Joel married Brenda Jean Brummels Jan. 29, 2001, in Pender,. Joel and Brenda lived just south of Hartington on the farm.

Joel was passionate for cats, especially Bathaire and Clovis. He loved his family and friends, watching movies, cooking, the Huskers and the Raiders football team. Joel was also a member of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska.

Joel is survived by his wife, Brenda, Hartington; a brother, Richard Tyndall, Walthill; a sister, Susan Tyndall, Walthill; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
