DERBY, Kan. — Larry Keifer, 79, Derby, Kan., formerly of Randolph, died Oct. 16, 2025, in Derby.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.

Larry was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Laurel, to George and Ethel (McDonald) Keifer. He attended schools in the Randolph area. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Larry was a partner of the Randolph Conoco Service Station and Berner’s Phillip 66 Service Station. After his years in the service station, he became employed at the Goodyear Hose Mfg. Plant in Norfolk, and retired after 35 years of employment.

Larry married the love of his life, Charlotte Berner, June 29, 1963, and they had five children, Kevin, Michael, Johnny, Gina and Gail.

Through the years, Larry was a steadfast husband, father, grandfather and friend. His joys came from simple things in life, but nothing brought him more joy in life than his family.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Charlotte; and their children, Michael, Derby, Kan.; Johnny (Tracey), Eustis; Gina (Dr. Brian) Comer, Mulvane, Kan.; Gail (Perry) Penske, Cottonwood, Minn.; 12 grandchildren, three step grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Darlene Smith, Janice Winter, Sharon York and Lori Kotrous; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin; infant granddaughter, Lola; brothers, Loren and Leonard; and infant sister, Charlene.
