Carole was born Nov. 23, 1946, to Roy Thomas and Eleanor (Carlson) Thomas and grew up on the family farm north of Laurel. She graduated from Laurel-Concord High School in 1965, and attended and graduated from Wayne State College, and attended the University of Utah. Her career took her to many places within the United States, as well as, several international locations such as Sydney, Australia; Bern, Switzerland; and Reading, England.

Carole returned to Laurel to live on the family farm. She loved to play cards, garden and help at the Laurel Senior Center. Her kind heart and infectious laugh will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Carole was a member of the Jehovah Witness church. Carole is survived by her sisters, Margaret Newell and Jeanne (Bill) Stark; nieces Charlotte (Mark) Larsen, Heather (Ann Darin) Thomas, Courtney (Dale Hruby) Thomas; and great-nieces Megan, Carly, Katie and Sarah Larsen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Eleanor Thomas; her brother, Charles Thomas; and brother-in-law, Roger Newell.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
