PALMDALE, Calif. — Tyler Martin Peck died peacefully at home in Palmdale, Calif., June 7, 2025. A Funeral Mass was held June 30 at Our Lady’s Chapel at St. Junipero Serra Catholic Church, Lancaster, Calif. Tyler was born Aug. 22, 1947, in Bellefonte, Pa., to Donald WM Peck and Mary Ellen Shuey Peck. He grew up in Coleridge with his two sisters. As a young man he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served his country in Vietnam. Tyler married Victoria Kneifl Peck Aug. 9, 1975, and they made a home on a farm in Hartington, where they welcomed three children. Later, the family moved to Palmdale, where Tyler worked in landscape maintenance for the city of Palmdale for many years.
Tyler had a lifelong love of Nebraska Cornhusker football, as well as being outdoors, fishing and hunting pheasant. He was accompanied by many different hunting dogs over the years, including his weimaraner, Dinah. He passed on his love of dogs to the kids and grandkids. Whenever he had the opportunity, he always drove the scenic route to enjoy the countryside.
Tyler was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Paula (Fred) Hansen.
He is survived by his sister, Jeanie (Art) Bender; his wife, Victoria; two daughters, Sheila Peck and Kristi (Gil) Vance; one son, Bryan (Kristina) Peck; and nine grandchildren.
