GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Kathy Sue (Sauser) DeTomaso, 70, died July 19, 2025, in Goodyear, Ariz., after a courageous four‑decade battle with Parkinson’s disease. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be 1-5 p.m., Sept. 28, at The Breakroom Café, Ran‑dolph.

Born and raised in Randolph, Kathy was the daughter of Leonard “Slim” and Thelma (Leit‑ing) Sauser and one of 10 children. She moved to Phoenix in 1985, to be near her sisters, Donna and Lynette, while raising her young family. She became a stockbroker and later a certified financial planner, building a successful career she enjoyed prior to her diag‑nosis. A gifted painter who also loved to travel, Kathy was happiest when she was with family, especially her grandchildren.

Kathy met life with grace and gratitude. She accepted people exactly as they were, laughed until she cried, and without fail, answered the question “How are you?” with her signature reply: “I’m doing great!” She made friends everywhere she lived and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Kathy is survived by her five children, Patrick (Kerry) Korth, Ohio; Rus‑sell Jr. (Emma) Korth, Australia; Kerry (Trent) Knight, Arizona; Kevin Korth, North Carolina; and Bryan (Shaun) West‑Pallardy, Illinois; and by her eleven grandchildren: Jared, Justin, Joshua, Emily, Ian, Gracie, Lucas, Garrett, Calise, Kip and Andie. She is also survived by siblings Vincent, Marvin, Ileen, Donna, Lynette and Mike, and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard “Slim” and Thelma Sau‑ser; and siblings, Connie, Ed and Dennis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
