LAUREL — Funeral Services for Floyd P. Bloom, 94, Laurel, were July 7 at Con cord Evangelical Free Church, Concord, Visitation and a prayer service were Sunday at Concord Free Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home, Wayne, Interment, with Military Rites, was at Concord Cemetery, Concord Floyd died July 1, 2025, at the Wakefield Health Care Center. Floyd Paul Bloom was born Jan. 3, 1931, on a farm near Laurel, to Adolph John and Esther Olive (Forsberg) Bloom. He accepted Jesus as his L ord and Savior when he was 11 years old. He attended country school district #39 and gradu ated from Concord High School in 1948. He started farming before he was called to service in the Unite d States Army, serving from 1955 and honorably discharged in 1956. Floyd married Beverly LaVonne Hartman Aug. 2, 1957, at the Gospel Chapel in Newcastle.

The couple farmed near Dixon. He was a lifelong farmer, cattle feeder and cattle buyer.

Floyd was a member of the Concord Evangelical Free Church for 7 7 years, serving in many different roles within the church. Floyd lov ed to travel with his wife of 67 years, Beverly, to many locations around the United States.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Bev erly; their children, Brian (Audra) Bloom, Randal (Cindy) Bloom, LaVonne (Ron) Gadeken, Tim (Becky) Bloom and Phil (Jenny) Bloom; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy (Brent) Arant; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dwaine Bloom, Darrel Bloom and Wesley (Donna) Bloom; and a sister, Leona (Wayne) Dykeman.

Memorial funds in memory of Floyd may be directed to his family for future designation.
