NORFOLK — Sandy L. Bohlken, 70, Norfolk, died June 13, 2025, at Faith Regional Hospital, Norfolk, after a battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be June 19, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Norfolk, with the Rev. Gregory Carl officiating.

Burial will be at approximately 2 p.m., at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Hartington, following the luncheon.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Derrick Leise, Preston Leise, Grant Leise, Alex Leise, Austin Leise, Jason Noecker, Regg Jueden and Tyson Leise.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sandy’s granddaughters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, at church in Norfolk, from 5-8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday morning, one hour prior to services.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington.

Sandra Louise was born to Harold and Jolene (Becker) Leise Jan. 12, 1955, in Yankton, S.D. She grew up in Hartington and attended Holy Trinity Elementary School, graduating from Hartington Cedar Catholic High School in 1973. Sandy married Kenneth Dean “Skinner” Bohlken Sept. 4, 1976, in Hartington. Sandy and Ken were blessed with one daughter, Kacie. Sandy spent much of her career working in pharmacy, starting at Rexall Drug, Old Mill pharmacy, and then the Norfolk Regional Center, where she was employed for 40 years.

Sandy and Ken belonged to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Norfolk. She loved to play golf at Fair Play, where she and Ken were members for many years. They also liked traveling to play other courses with friends. She enjoyed playing cards and loved the annual Leise boat ride at Lewis and Clark Lake in remembrance of her brother, Dan, whom she missed so much. Her granddaughters were the light of her life, and they will miss her dearly.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Ken, Norfolk; daughter, Kacie (Dave) Feilmeier, Hartington; three granddaughters, Eliza, Emily and Scarlett; her mother, Jolene Leise, Hartington; four siblings, Deb (Rick) Perk, Hartington; Sheila Jueden (Dale Collins), Hartington; Jeff (Mary) Leise, Hartington; Bill (Theresa) Leise, Omaha; sister-in-law, Deb Leise, Hartington; her in-laws, Barb (Gayle) Hochstein, Hartington; Sandy (Pat) Bartels, Omaha; Jaci Sudbeck, Hartington; Dave (Kathy) Bohlken, Hartington; Larry (Missy) Bohlken, Norfolk; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Leise;,a brother, Dan Leise; brother-in-law, Ron Jueden; nephew, Heath Jueden; parents-in-law, Jule Dean and Monica Bohlken; brother-in-law, Kevin Sudbeck; and sisterin-law, Lisa Bohlken.
