Marc Brodersen RANDOLPH – Memorial services for Marc Lowell Brodersen, 68, Randolph, were June 2 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Randolph. PMA Dwight Brummels officiated the service.

Burial will take place at a later date at the Rose Hill Cemetery, rural McLean.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, to be intended for their Sunday School Program.

After many years of health issues, Marc died May 26, 2025, at the Arbor Care Center, Hartington.

Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Randolph, was in charge of the arrangements.

Marc Lowell Brodersen was born July 14, 1956, in Osmond, to Patricia (Broer) and Donald Brodersen. He grew up in Randolph and attended Randolph Public Schools. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1974.

Marc worked various construction jobs after high school, and helped his Grandpa Adolph and father on the farm. He married Sheryl Helsing in 1976, and together they welcomed three sons, Matthew, Ryan and Dane. In 2009, Marc married Lisa Hare. Over the years, Marc continued to farm with his dad and later found a gift in sales.

Marc was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Randolph, and taught sixth grade Sunday School for several years. He enjoyed community functions, tractor pulls and reminiscing with his friends. He also enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and loved watching game shows.

Marc is survived by his children and grandchildren, Ryan and Angie Brodersen (Tate, Jace and Sutton), Randolph; Dane Brodersen and Chelsey Holland (Callie, Wade and Cale), Yankton, S.D.; sisters, Carmen Patent (Rod), Randolph; Ruth Smith (Eric), Wayne; and Martha Kennebeck (Rick), Yutan; along with several nieces and nephews and other family members.

Marc was preceded in death by his son, Matthew;grandparents; parents; sister, Inga (Rick) Lindhom; and niece, Greta Smith.
