NORFOLK – Funeral services for Gary H. Frederick, 77, Norfolk, were May 29 at Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk. Pastor Lee Weander officiated the services. The service was live-streamed on the Stonacek Funeral Chapel website at https://www. stonacekfuneralchapel.com/obituaries/ gary-frederick-3/#!/PhotosVideos.

Military rites were provided by the American Legion Post 16, V.F.W. Post 1644 of Norfolk, Nebraska American Legion Riders, and the United States Army Honor Guard.

Inurnment will be at a later date. Gary died May 24, 2025, at Faith Regional Hospital, Norfolk.

Gary was born on May 22, 1948, in Osmond, to Charley and Ruth (Linn) Frederick. He graduated with Randolph High School Class of 1966. Gary married Barbara Winkelbauer Jan. 28, 1967, in Randolph. The couple lived in Norfolk and raised four kids while working in construction, before being drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. When Gary returned home, he began working as a trailer mechanic. Gary retired in 2015 from Signor Trucking.

He loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Barbara Frederick; children, Gary (Jami) Frederick, Dawn (Steve) Denn, Angie Frederick, Mindy (Andy) Dahlheim; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; Roger (Carol) Frederick and Sharolyn (Roger) Winkelbauer.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents,Charley and Ruth; and parentsin- law, David and Doris Winkelbauer Casket bearers were Kayla Petersen, Tyler Frederick, Payton Frederick, Jaron Denn, Tanner Hall, Chase Kuhnel, Maesik Nordhues, MerrixDenn, Brooklin Dahlheim and Landyn Dahleim.

Honorary casket bearers were Emma Petersen, Parker Petersen, Suttyn Petersen, Kolsen Hall, Kirby Kuhnel, Crue Kuhnel, Rory Nordhues and Hattie Nordhues.
