NORFOLK — Memorial services for Karen Rae McDonald, 82, Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., April 25, at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk. Marshal Hardy will be officiating the service.

Inurnment will be held at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at Stonacek Funeral Chapel.

Karen died March 8, 2025, at the Faith Regional Hospital, Norfolk.

Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Karen was born Dec. 16, 1943, in Plainview, to Harold and Frances (Henery) Knaak. She attended grade school in Stanton and graduated from Stanton High School. She married Roger Avery McDonald Oct. 28, 1962. After their marriage, they lived in Stanton and Randolph, and then moved to Norfolk in 1965. Karen worked in production at Sherwood Medical for 37 years, Goodyear, and did cleaning for three years until she retired in 2022. She was a caregiver to her daughter Kelly McDonald. Karen loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors include her son, Pat (Diana) McDonald, Norfolk; son, Scott McDonald, Norfolk; five grandchildren, Jordan (Katie) McDonald, Spaulding; Austin McDonald, Carroll; Aaron McDonald, Nebraska City; Andrew McDonald, Nebraska City; Megan McDonald, Norfolk; siblings, Jacque (Tim) Latimer, Arizona; and Larry (Janice) Knaak, Plainview.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger McDonald; parents, Harold and Frances Knaak; daughter, Kelly McDonald; sister, Cheralee Avery; and brother, Roger Knaak.
