NORFOLK — Memorial services for Terry L. McKibbon, 77, Norfolk, will be 11 a.m., Nov. 1, at Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk. Officiating the service will be PMA Richard Bloomquist. Inurnment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Norfolk. Honorary pallbearers will be Hailey, Ethan, Allie, Braden, Jacob, Aziah, Luka, Kyren, Kasyria and Dave Kalin. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 16, V.F.W. Post 1644, and United States Army Honor Guard. Terry died Oct. 26, 2024, at his residence in Norfolk, surrounded by his loving family. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Terry was born July 9, 1947, in Norfolk, to Jack and Marion (Marshall) McKibbon. He graduated from Norfolk High School in 1966, and from Wayne State College with a bachelor’s in business in 1973. Terry joined the United States Army Nov. 19, 1969, and served until Nov. 18, 1975. Terry married Valerie Bloomquist July 28, 1973, at St. Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, Randolph. After they were married, the couple lived in Norfolk, where Terry worked for J.C. Penney, Vishay Dale Electronics for 30 years, and Farm & Ranch/Mead Lumber for 20 years.
Terry enjoyed golfing, Husker football, staying active, eating ice cream, and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie McKibbon, Norfolk; six children, daughters, Sara Forney, Amy Jacobsen, Amanda (Ryan) Hintz, Norfolk; sons, Joe (Amanda) McKibbon, Kansas; and Chris (Jenny) McKibbon and Nicholas McKibbon, Lincoln; five grandchildren, Hailey, Ethan, Allie, Braden, Jacob; four great-grandchildren, Aziah, Luka, Kyren and Kasyria; five stepgrandchildren, Ainsley, Lucas, Evey, Charlie and Maddox; and one uncle, Art Marshall, Pierce.
