WYNOT — Dolores A. Hochstein, 87, Wynot, died Sept. 8, 2018, at the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, S.D. Visitation will be Sept. 12, at Holy Family (Sacred Heart) Catholic Church, Wynot, from 6-8 p.m., with a Vigil service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday, one hour prior to services. Mass of Christian Burial will be Sept. 13, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Family (Sacred Heart) Catholic Church, with the Rev. Eric Olsen officiating. Cremation will occur after the Funeral Mass and burial of her cremated remains will be at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Wynot. Pallbearers will be Shawn Koch, Casey Koch, Liam Villanueva, Brennan Koch, Mike Villanueva, Melvin Sudbeck, and Robert Schmidt. Honorary pallbearers will be Maya Villanueva, Kelsey Villanueva, Laura Villanueva, Everly Koch, and Raegan Koch. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Dolores Ann was born Aug. 4, 1931, to Arthur and Rose (Burbach) Sudbeck in Bow Valley. She grew up in the Bow Valley area, graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul Grade School in 1945 and from Holy Trinity High School in 1949. Dolores married Merlin Hochstein Aug. 8, 1950, in Bow Valley. They farmed in the Bow Valley area until moving to Wynot in 1987. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wynot, Christian Mothers, and a member of the Wynot American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include one son, Pete; and two daughters, Jill Koch and Mary Lee (Mike) Villanueva; three grandsons, Shawn Koch, Casey Koch and Liam Villanueva; three granddaughters, Maya Villanueva, Kelsey Villanueva, and Laura Villanueva; one greatgrandson Brennan Koch; two great-granddaughters, Everly Koch and Raegan Renae Koch; and great-granddaughter Olivia Mae, due in October. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Jean (Jerry) Uhing and Sharon Schmidt (Jerry); brothers, Don (Gloria) Sudbeck, Clair (Deanna) Sudbeck, Lloyd (Janice) Sudbeck, David (Annette) Sudbeck and Kevin (Jaci) Sudbeck; and two sisters-inlaw, Jeann Sudbeck and Karen Sudbeck. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlin; son, Dan; and two brothers, Henry and Claude Sudbeck.
