Girls’ H.S. volleyball finals to be telecast on NET Television
LINCOLN — Local residents who don’t make the trip to Lincoln this week to watch two Cedar County teams in the state volleyball tournament, may have an opportunity to view the action from their living rooms.
Nebraska’s best high school girls volleyball teams will take the court at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln for “NSAA State High School Volleyball Championships,” airing live Saturday, Nov. 7 on NET.
Sportscaster Larry Punteney will call the action and former Nebraska All-American volleyball standout Kathi Wieskamp will offer color commentary. Ryan Mix will give the sideline reports.
The championship match-ups begin at 9 a.m. with class D-2, followed by Class D-1 at 11 a.m. The afternoon games will start at 1:30 p.m. with Class C-2, followed by Class C-1 at 3:30 p.m. The evening matches will start at 6 p.m. with Class B, followed by Class A at 8 p.m. There will be a minimum of 30 minutes between the classes to allow time to clean the arena between matches.
The championships will also be streamed at netNebraska.org or the NET Nebraska App.
