It is the most widespread tree-sized conifer native to every state east of the 100th meridian. Ag Instructor Craig Flaming provides instruction to Dylan Schutt as he uses a spraying simulator last week. The simulator, on loan by Central Valley Ag, provides a life-like experience behind the wheel of a tractor complete with the sound of birds chirping, the tractor seat bouncing as the “tractor” travels over the field, and navigating around obstacles such as wind turbines. “It’s just fun because they get to do something that a lot of people never have the opportunity. There’s been a lot of kids on that don’t even have driver’s licenses,” Flaming said.
