Water conservation is an important aspect of Water Quality
HARTINGTON – August is National Water Quality Month; it was founded in 2005 by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and backed by the United Nations. State 4-H Horse Competition
On July 18, Kassydi Anderson, a sophomore at Hartington-Newcastle Public High School, participated in the 2023 Nebraska 4-H State Horse Show Expo at Fonner Park in Grand Island. She competed on her horse Nine Bars Cisco “Sis” in two events, Jr. Pole Bending and Jr. Barrel Racing. After competing in the prelims against girls and boys from around the state, Kassydi made it to the finals in both of her events. She had really good runs in the finals and was able to bring home two top five finishes for her efforts. She placed fourth in the Jr. Pole Bending and she placed fifth in Jr. Barrel Racing.
