Wynot sweeps past Homer

WYNOT - Wynot swept past Homer in Lewis & Clark Conference volleyball action here Sept. 28, 2515, 25-16 and 25-21 in the regularseason best-of-five-sets match.

Kayla Pinkelman and Allison Wieseler paced the Lady Blue Devils with 10 big swings each that found the other side of the court.

Kinslee Heimes and Kenna Oligmueller added four and three winners respectively; Annika Heimes added two and Sophia Geisen had one.

Geisen also tipped-up 24 setassists to get the Wynot offense off the ground.

Myrah Sudbeck served up three aces on the night; Courtney Pinkelman had a couple; Kinsle Heimes had one.

The Lady Blue Devils made hay at the net defensively as the team combined for 17 blocks in the match.

Oligmueller led the way with six. Kinslee Heimes, Kayla Pinkelman, Allison Wieseler, Geisen, and Annika Heimes each had two blocks and Addy Pinkelman had one stop.

Kinslee Heimes recorded 16 digs, Geisen had 15 for a double-double, Kayla Pinkelman dug up 11 for another double-double and Sudbeck had 10.

The Lady Blue Devils are set to host Cedar Catholic and Ponca in a triangular Oct. 5, before taking a trip to Plainview Oct. 10.

Wynot defeats Homer 25-15, 2516, 25-21.
