Wynot girls pour it on to top Bloomfield

RANDOLPH — The Wynot Lady Blue Devil roared out to a 32-12 first half lead and then rolled to a 61-33 win over the Bloomfield Queen Bees in their second round game of the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament.

The Lady Devils were paced by Katelyn Heine as she hit four 3-pointers on her way to a game high 18 points. Karley Heimes worked the inside for 12 points and Michaela Lange hit a pair of treys and finished with eight points.

Bloomfield was led by Alexandra Eisenhauer who connected for 12 points to lead the Queen Bees. Brynn Bargman and Brooklyn Eisenhauer contribute six and five points respective to Bloomfield’s offensive production.

The opening quarter featured the long ball.

Alexandra and Brooklyn Eisenhauer both hit treys for Bloomfield. Wynot countered with a pair of 3-pointers by Michaela Lange and one by Katelyn Heine as they eased out to a 12-6 lead.

Wynot’s defense tightened up with full court pressure holding Bloomfield to a pair of field goals by Alexandra Eisenhauer and one by Brynn Bargman for their six points. Meanwhile, Wynot put up 20 points thanks to a pair of Katelyn Heine 3-pointers and one each from Emersyn Sudbeck and Kaitlyn Heimes, along with a pair of buckets off of offensive rebounds by Karley Heimes as the Lady Devils gained a 32-12 halftime advantage.

The two teams traded scoring in the third quarter. The Queen Bees got four points by Brynn Bargman and a 3-pointer by Ella McFarland. Wynot kept their lead intact with four points by Katelyn Heine and buckets by Shaelee Planer and Noelle Wieseler as they maintained a 46-24 lead after three periods.

In the fourth quarter Bloomfield got five more points by Alexandra Eisenhauer, but Wynot got a trey by Krystal Sudbeck and buckets by Kendra Pinkelman and Karley Heimes as they advanced to semifinals with the 61-33 win.
