Wilma Doris Kruger

LINCOLN — Wilma Doris Kruger, 101, Lincoln, died peacefully May 14, 2018. She was born near McLean, Aug. 19, 1916, to William Edward and Martha Jane (Pickering) Niday. As per Wilma’s wishes, a private family burial will be in Norfolk. A celebration of life will be Aug. 18, at Jerry’s Hilltop Café at 86420 US-81, Randolph, NE 68771, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., for all family and friends. Wilma married Alfred Frank Kruger Feb. 3, 1934. She made her life with Alfred on the farm where they had one son. She moved to Lincoln in 1990 to be near her family, after Alfred passed away. She then devoted herself to her grandchildren and their children. Her son and his family always came first. She was the most wonderful Mother and Grandmother. Wilma is survived by her son, Al Kruger (wife, Issara); granddaughters, Shelly Halstead (husband, Danny), Gale Boerrigter (husband, Steve), Suzie Hemenway (husband, Ron); grandson, Scott Kruger; great-grandchildren, Carli Halstead, Sean Boerrigter, Jeremy Boerrigter, JJ Hemenway, Andrew Hemenway, Nick Hemenway, Mary Rice and Mallorie Seivert; along with eight great-great-grandchildren and sisters, Twila Horn and Betty Patrum. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Harold, Margie, Eunice, Gene and Frank
