Wildcats struggle against Iowa power
WOODBINE, Iowa — Coach Corey Uldrich was just itching to play.
The Wildcat football team had to miss two weeks because of COVID concerns. Plainview announced they had a COVID outbreak early last week, so it looked like the Wildcats would miss a third straight game.
Coach Uldrich called just about everyone on his speed dial to find a new foe. The Cats ended up taking a two-hour drive Friday to play Woodbine, Iowa.
Woodbine looked fresh and ready to play as they opened the game up with a 22-0 first quarter blitz of the Cats.
The 4-0 Tigers doubled their scoring output in the second quarter, taking a 44-0 lead into the locker room.
HNS was led in the contest by Riley Sudbeck, who threw for 63 yards, connecting on 5-10 attempts. Kobe Sudbeck churned out 68 yards on 16 carries for the Cats.
