WATCH: Reifenrath lifts Bears past Wildcats

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge senior Izac Reifenrath drops a game-high 32 points and had a career night in an 81-57 victory over Hartington-Newcastle on Tuesday.

LAUREL - A monumental second-half effort by Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Izac Reifenrath helped the Bears earn an 81-57 win over Hartington-Newcastle on Tuesday night.

The senior scored 25 points in the second half as LCC ran away with it in the fourth quarter.

It was a back-and-forth game for the first three quarters, with HNS taking a two-point lead into halftime.

The dangerous scoring duo of Reifenrath and Noah Schutte caught fire in the latter half of the game tough to improve the Bears to 14-1.

In the third quarter, the two teams fought tooth and nail for momentum.

Things began to swing in favor of the Bears when Ty Erwin grabbed a steal and made this once-in-a-lifetime behind-the-back throw that found its way to the bottom of the net.

Ewin stepped out of bounds though and the shot was no good.

That didn't stop him from getting over 200,000 views on Facebook and Twitter with the likes of BleacherReport and MaxPreps sharing the video.

The Bears were on a roll after Erwin's basket that did not count.

Reifenrath would make eight 3-pointers on the night, tying his school record for most made in a single game.

His second to last one of the night also earned the senior admittance into the 1,000 point club with the Bears.

With the win, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge improves on the season to 14-1, while Hartington-Newcastle fell to 7-7.

The two teams could potentially face each other again in the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament beginning on January 25.
